What is the Blue Cross?
The Blue Cross is a Health Development Organisation of professionals – employees and volunteers – dedicated to caring for people who have been harmed by alcohol and/or drug dependence.
There are national Blue Cross member organisations in more than 40 countries around the world.
National Blue Cross Organisations are independent non-denominational Christian organisations, each with a National Board and local organisation.
The International Federation of the Blue Cross (IFBC) is the entity that brings together all the member organisations into one body. It has a governance board – called the Network Committee – and a secretariat which supports, enables and develops the work of member organisations around the world.
