Dear colleagues and friends of the International Federation of the Blue Cross,
I would like to begin my letter and the New Year with a short review of the activities of the International Federation of the Blue Cross during 2010. The IFBC works worldwide to help those with alcohol and drug problems, and it gives me great pleasure and satisfaction every time I hear about people who have succeeded in making a new start in their lives. One of them is Stanislaw, who has agreed to tell us in this newsletter about his therapy with Blue Cross Poland.
It was also last year that our member organisations in Brazil, Kenya, Russia, and India successfully launched projects in the areas of prevention, treatment and aftercare.
